Rightwingers, as in many other areas, contradict themselves in every presidential election regardless of whether they win or lose it. In 2000 and 2004, their candidate squeaked by with the EV and rightwingers were just ecstatic about the wisdom of the EC. In 1992, 1996 and now again in 2012 we're already starting to hear bitching and moaning that those smashing EV wins by democrats don't really mean anything since Clinton never won a clear popular vote majority and Obama's win this year is "only" 2% (it will get slightly larger by the time the final vote counts are certified by all the states). So, come on rightwingers. What'll it be? Keep the EC or chuck it?
Isn't NOW a good time to dump the Electoral College?
